Appeals
We represent appellants and respondents in the Oregon Court of Appeals, the Oregon Supreme Court and the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. We handle appeals from our own trials and from cases tried by other lawyers.
We file the notice of appeal, designate the record, ask for a stay of the judgment where one is needed, write the briefs and argue the case. An appeal is decided on the trial court record, without witnesses or new evidence.
The notice of appeal from an Oregon circuit court judgment is due 30 days after the judgment is entered. Call us as soon as there is a judgment, or before if you expect one.
