  Jury and court trials in the circuit courts of Eastern Oregon and in federal court: contract and business disputes, property cases, injury claims and their defense, property damage.

  Appeals to the Oregon Court of Appeals and the Oregon Supreme Court, and to the Ninth Circuit, from the firm's own trials and from cases tried by others.

  Lawsuits over easements, access, boundaries, title and water, and claims for damage to property.

  Federal civil rights claims, most of them about land: takings without compensation, due process and equal protection in permitting and code enforcement, and retaliation against a landowner who speaks.
